A note on “your earliest convenience”
Hi,
If you’re employing the term our/my “earliest convenience” in your own business voicemail or out of office message, then you should really stop. Like, if you say, “We’re unavailable at the moment but please leave your name and number and someone will call you back at our earliest convenience,” then erase your message right now because it’s really annoying me.
I ask you to please get back to me at your earliest convenience when I’m trying to be polite and want you to call me back as soon as possible. You don’t tell someone else that you’ll get back to them when it’s convenient for you. That’s obnoxious and you’re using the term incorrectly and you sound like an ass and you’re bothering me.
Thanks,
Jordan
